The following instructions are the standard steps for a NugSmasher press. However, we would recommend that you follow your Nugsmasher press model's specific manual instructions.
Heating
- Turn your NugSmasher on using the main power switch.
- On the temperature control panel, use the up and down arrows to set your desired temperature.
The white number display shows the current temperature. The green number display shows the desired temperature setting. Your NugSmasher is preset to 93.3℃ (200℉).
- Press the enter button on the lower left side to set the desired temperature.
- Turn the release valve clockwise ½ turn to the closed position to be able to press the plates together.
- Make sure the heating plates are pressed together while heating to ensure an even heat distribution.
Keep the heating plates together as much as possible to maintain an even heat distribution
while your NugSmasher is on. To release the plates, turn the release valve ½ turn
counterclockwise.
- Do not turn the release valve more than ½ turn either way to avoid damage which voids your warranty!
How To Use
- Turn the release valve ½ turn counterclockwise to release the heating plates.
- Load plant material into the NugSmasher Micron bags (or use parchment paper) and place it in the center of the bottom heating plate.
Parchment Paper Is Required When Pressing
- Turn the release valve ½ turn clockwise to be able to pump the plates together.
- Do not turn the release valve more than ½ turn either way to avoid damage which voids your warranty!
- Slowly raise the heating plates.
Slowly build heat and pressure into the plant material. The process should take 90 to 120 seconds.
- Use two fingers to pump the heating plates together for the manual pump press.
Press until two fingers can no longer press the plates together
- Return the handle back to the top and compress 1/3 of the full cycle for 3.5 grams, 2/3 of the full cycle for 7 grams, and one full cycle for 14 grams.
- Optimal extraction depends on finding the best heat and pressure for a particular strand. (Increase or decrease the temperature setting incrementally to find optimal extraction. )
